Tour itinerary:

Day 1 Arrival in Tashkent
Arrive in Tashkent. You will be met by our guide and driver and transferred to the hotel. Check in to the hotel at noon. Meet your guide to start sightseeing in the capital of Uzbekistan, the biggest city in Central Asia. Visit Old City part of Tashkent with Khast-Imam Complex where the world famous Quran of Caliph Uthman – Ottoman has been preserved. In Khast-Imam visit Madrasah of Barak-Khan, Tillya-Sheykh Mosque, Mausoleum of the Saint Abu Bakr Kaffal Shashi and the Islamic Institute of Imam al-Bukhari. Explore Chorsu Bazaar. Then take a ride on Tashkent Metro to city center with Amir Timur Square, Independence Square and Applied Arts Museum. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Tashkent – Nukus
Transfer to local airport for flight to Nukus (1255 km, 2 h. 45 min.). Arrival in Nukus, transfer to the Savitsky Karakalpakstan Art Museum. The museum hosts the world's second largest collection of Russian avant-garde art and exposition of Karakalpak applied arts items. Have a short drive around center of Nukus: see statue of Karakalpak poet Berdakh, Nukus City Hall, and Drama Theatre.

Day 3 Nukus-Ayaz-Kala – Gaur-Kala – Koykirilgan-Kala – Toprak-Kala – Khiva
From Nukus transfert to Ayaz-Kala Yurt Camp visit a few of the larger fortresses: Gyaur-Kala – meaning infidel fortress, Koi-Krylgan-Kala, and the fortress of Toprak-Kala – residence of ancient Khorezm rulers. Late in the afternoon drive to Khiva. Arrive in Khiva, check in to the hotel.
Overnight at the hotel. Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Day 4 Khiva
Spend a day in UNESCO World Heritage site Itchan-Kala Fortress. Visit Mukhammad Aminkhan Madrasah, Mukhammad Rahimkhan Madrasah, Kalta-Minor, Kunya-Ark, Juma Mosque, Tash-Khovli Palace, Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, Minaret of Islam-Khoja. Free time in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Khiva – Bukhara
In the morning drive to Bukhara (480 km, 7-8 h.*).
Stop en-route to enjoy views of Amudarya river and the desert. Arrive in Bukhara late in the afternoon, check in to the hotel. Time for rest and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 Bukhara
Enjoy a walking sightseeing tour with a guide in Old City. Visit Lyabi-Khauz Ensemble, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Chor-Minor Madrasah, trade domes, Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque and Miri-Arab Madrasah, Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan madrasahs, Ark Fortress, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, Chor-Minor Madrasah, Ismail Samani and Chashma-Ayub mausoleums. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 Bukhara
Start the second day with a visit to Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa – summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir, unique site combining Oriental and Russian architecture. Continue to Bakhouddin Naqshbandi Mausoleum and Chor-Bakr Necropolis. Enjoy free time in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8 Bukhara - Shakhrisabz - Samarkand
In the morning depart Bukhara and drive to Samarkand via Shakhrisabz (275 km, 4 h.*). Stop in Shakhrisabz for city tour. Visit Mausoleum of Jakhongir in Dor-us Saodat Memorial Complex, remains of Ak-Saray Palace, Dor-ut Tilavat Ensemble with Kok-Gumbaz Mosque and burial vault of Tamerlane’s father. In the afternoon continue driving to Samarkand (90 km, 2 h.*). Arrive in Samarkand, check in to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 Samarkand
Visit Gur-Emir Mausoleum, famous Registan Square, and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Continue to Afrasiab Museum & archaeological site – a hilly area of 212 hectares surrounded by a moat. Archaeologists presently conduct excavations on the site. The Afrasiab Museum displays the model of ancient city and fortress walls, pottery, weaponry, coinage, altars and most of all the mural painting of the 7th century.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10 Samarkand – Tashkent
Continue sightseeing in Samarkand, visit Ulugbek Observatory and Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis. Then drive to Konigil village to explore traditional way of making world famous Samarkand paper from mulberry. Enjoy free time with car and driver at your disposal after sightseeing tour. At 16:00 transfer to railway station to take the fast-speed Afrasiab train departing to Tashkent at 17:00 (300 km). Scheduled arrival time is 19:10. Pick-up and transfer to hotel in Tashkent. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 Tashkent - Chimgan Mountains - Tashkent
In the morning, depart to Chimgan Mountains (80 km, ~2 h.). You will be driving the road lying in picturesque surroundings full of local villages, gardens, and streams. If the cableway is functioning take 3 km long ride in Beldersay gorge to Kumbel peak (2400) where the longest ski track has its start. Have a walk in mountain area. Continue to the shore of Charvak reservoir, surrounded by green mountain flanks. With numerous resorts, beaches, and children summer camps, Charvak Lake is a favorite place of locals and foreigners to enjoy summer days outside the city. Drive down serpentine road to Chinara’s restaurant to have lunch under the shade of four giant plane trees. Return to Tashkent after lunch. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 Tashkent – departure
Transfer to the airport. End of the tour.
